The activities of the music centre are supported by the Scarborough Area Music Centre Parent Support Group. We undertake fundraising to support the work of the music centre, provide support and assistance at concerts and events as well as run the tuck shop that is open at break times during Saturday morning rehearsals.
Our fundraising is used to support the work of the centre, purchasing instruments, equipment and the van, which is used to transport equipment to and from events, where the limited funds of the Country Music Service are unable to provide.
We are a voluntary group, made up of parents of both current and past members of the ensembles and we always welcome new members to the team. If you would like to offer help, either as a member of the committee or at events, please let us know. If you would like to join the parents’ group, please contact any of the members that you will see at concerts and events, or contact Ralph Alder who will put you in contact with one of the members.
As a Registered Charity, we have an annual AGM which anyone is welcome to attend.
Scarborough Area Music Centre Parent Support Group is a Registered Charity No. 1064815.
